The new Reader App by books.ch makes downloading your eBooks onto your mobile device even simpler. Once you have downloaded this app onto you Android smart phone or tablet PC, you can access more than 250'000 eBooks in our books.ch shop. With it, you can personalize your reading settings and efficiently manage your eBook library.

This app works on all Android mobile devices with an operating system of 2.2 or higher.

It is the ideal eReader programme for a tablet PC Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 which can be purchased in our store.

We've also made the books.ch app availible for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The app runs on devices with iOS verion 3.0 and higher.

The Advantages of a books.ch Reader App

 

The books.ch Reader App gives you access to over 250'000 eBooks on books.ch, the official eBook shop of Orell Füssli. Some of the technical advantages of our Reader App include re-opening your book at the same page you left off, adding a bookmark, highlighting parts of a text or making notes in the text itself.

*Buying eBooks on an Apple device is only possible through the use of a browser and not directly in-app. Here you can find the instructions on purchasing and installing eBooks on your Apple device.

Easy to Download

• Via Internet (WLAN or cellular network), you can purchase your eBooks in German, English, French and other languages on books.ch and download them directly into an integrated library. You no longer need to have a PC/Mac. You do not need to be online to read your eBooks.

Reading Functions
Functions such as font size, horizontal or vertical display, night-mode, bookmarking etc can be set in the „Menu“ tab of your eBook (which appears by quickly tapping on your screen.)

Back Up
Your eBooks remain in your personal account with books.ch for a minimum of one year with a maximum of 5 additional downloads of the same item.

Sorting your Library

• You can choose how you wish to view your library: by a list of titles or seeing the book covers. Your library can be sorted according to titles and the names of the author.
